Feeding the birds by the gallon

A cold winter is real hard for birds to find food.  With a few simple supplies you can make a bird feeder that is the chirp and squawk  of the neighborhood.

Material:

Plastic milk gallon jug.

markers for decoration

knife or sharp scissors

wire or string

length of  dowel rod OR a straight smooth length of a tree branch

Take the jug and clean it well.  Then take the markers and mark the area to cut out of the birds to get the seeds.  Use knife or scissors to make hole for dowel or tree branch so birds can perch before getting the food.  Take wire or string and use to hold jug either thru the handle or around the lid.  Then tie the other end to the tree branch.  Fill with bird seed and enjoy.
